Source: National

Published Date: 27 Oct 2011

The Tax Specialists' Workshop is a unique event with its value derived from delegate participation with assistance and oversight by very experienced practitioners.

This event was tax technical. There were four intensive workshops spread over three days to allow maximum participation. The workshop questions were prepared by experts in their field and were designed to tease out the most difficult aspects of the topics as well as reinforce the basics.

The four topic areas were CFCs and outbound investment (following on from last year's very popular session), M & A transactions from both the seller and buyer's point of view (two separate workshops focused on the same transaction but with the unique issues to be faced by a SME seller and corporate buyer) and finally IP, with all of its attendant tax considerations including cross-border dealings.

Workshop two - M&A transactions - Seller's perspective

Author(s): Michael Hennessey CTA , David Marschke CTA , Hayden Bentley , Denise Honey CTA

Workshop 4 - Intellectual property

Author(s): Eddy Moussa CTA , Tracey Rens CTA-Life , Peter Feros CTA , Robert Zalud CTA

Workhop one - Outbound investment
