Regardless of whether a dispute with the Tax Office should be seen as a battle, the best outcome for the taxpayer can only be achieved with "advance thinking and planning". This event covered some key issues when devising a plan of attack.

This event began with a practical review of the ATO process from the initial questionnaire stage to the issuing of assessments and continued with an examination of the merits of the accountant's concession and of recent judicial authority on the ATO's weapon of choice, Part IVA.
