Stuart Hamilton

 
Stuart has over 27 years experience in taxation ATO at various levels, since joining it as a Chartered Accountant from the then big 8 firm Ernst & Whinney. An Assistant Commissioner since 1999, he has worked across a range of areas, including setting up the ATOs Analytics and Corporate Intelligence units. At the OECD at the start of the decade, Stuart led work on the Taxation approaches for eCommerce and then set up the Forum of Tax Administration, with its associated guidance paper series, to assist in establishing global best practice for Tax administrators. Since moving into his current position as head of risk and intelligence in the Large Business Line in 2007, he developed the Risk Differentiation Framework and its associated approaches, for which he received the inaugural Commissioners Award for Senior Executive Service leadership. Stuart has degrees in Business Administration (Masters) and Accountancy.
