Dr Tang is the Head of Research at the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Associated Ltd (AVCAL). She has over 15 years experience in financial markets research, business and regulation. Prior to joining AVCAL in 2008, she was with the SMARTS Group (now part of Nasdaq OMX), and has held roles with the Capital Markets CRC and Securities Industry Research Centre of Asia-Pacific consulting for private and public sector clients. Kar Mei began her career in financial market regulation, and was a member of various APEC and ASEAN committees on financial market development, and ministerial drafting committees, from 1998 to 2003.
