From managing and analysing client’s investment portfolios to harvesting canola on a Caterpilla Lexion 480 header, Emily’s career path has been diverse but generally always revolving around finance and farming! Emily grew up on her family farm in Northern Tasmania but moved to Melbourne to study Financial Planning (with University holidays spent doing the harvest on large Victorian properties). After graduating, Emily spent several years on the mainland and more recently back in Launceston as a Financial Planner with Commonwealth Bank. In 2009 she moved to Camerons Accountants & Advisors to manage the Financial Planning department and as of 1 July 2011, Emily is now a Partner in the firm. More recently Emily was awarded by her licencee as the 2011 Most Determined Achiever award for the entire Professional Investment Services network. Emily specialises in retirement planning, Centrelink & aged cared advice. With her agriculture background, she understands the complexities of succession planning with the family farm and the importance of diversification of your assets to ensure an adequate income in retirement.
