Dean joined the ATO in 1998 through the Graduate Program after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from Monash University. In 2001, Dean completed the CPA program, for which he won the 2001 BRW High Achiever Award for being a dux of the program. In the ATO, Dean has spent the majority of his time working in the High Wealth Individuals (HWI) Taskforce undertaking compliance activity. He rose through the ranks to become a Technical Advisor in the HWI Taskforce before that role morphed into his current role as a Technical Director in Private Groups and High Wealth Individuals Technical Excellence Services. Dean’s areas of expertise include retirement villages and property and construction.
