Clare has a lateral executive career spanning various investment advisory and management consulting roles within the financial services industry. She has deep subject matter expertise and experience in wealth management, financial markets, superannuation, investment management, strategy, planning and M&A functions.
As an independent non-executive director, Clare brings career wide experience within highly regulated environments, deep financial and transformation skills, and an understanding what is required to oversee complex and multifaceted organisational change and knowledge of governance frameworks. She has experience serving on a range of corporate and not for profit company boards and sub committees including Audit, Risk, Nominations and Strategy. Clare is currently the Chair and Acting CEO of The Tax Institute and a Non-Executive Director of Qudos Bank, the Uniting Church of Australia and Credit Corporation.
Clare is also currently undertaking a PhD in the field of international political economy focusing on globalisation, public versus private governance and business-state relations as it relates to the global financial architecture. Specifically, the research is exploring the role of digital exchange, and how this interacts with existing structures of international financial payment frameworks.
