There are many reasons for advice, usually free, being given "off the cuff". This session will explore the implications and will consider:
- The scope of "off the cuff advice"
- How, when and why "off the cuff advice" is given
- "Off the cuff advice" by phone or email
- The importance of the client receiving the advice
- Does your PI policy cover "off the cuff advice"?
- Might the "off the cuff advice" be legal advice; and
- What will the Statement of Claim look like?
