1. Where can I download the digital journal apps?
The Taxation in Australia App can be downloaded from the App Store. Alternatively, search the App Store for 'Taxation in Australia'. Then download the journal for the month from the download page to read at your leisure.
2. How much does the App cost?
For a limited time the App is free to download and access.
3. What features are available in each edition?
Each edition will still contain all the same articles with a strong, practical approach to the latest tax issues and professional development. Additional features are listed here.
4. Will the App be updated with new editions of the journal?
Each month the App will be updated with the new edition of Taxation in Australia as it becomes available. You can have a push notification set up on your App to inform you when the latest edition is available to download. Each edition will remain available for an extended period so it can be downloaded at your leisure. The digital editions will begin with the August 2011 issue..
5. Can I access previous editions of Taxation in Australia via the App?
Digital editions from August 2011 on will be available via the App. Previous editions will not be available.
6. Where can I learn how to use the features in the App?
The App has a help section to guide you through the features available in each edition.
7. Will the apps work on mobile phones or other devices such as the Droid, BlackBerry, iPhone or iPod Touch?
No. Based on research of our members, the iPad is currently the most popular tablet device used in the tax profession. Once there is sufficient interest from our members, we will be developing applications for other devices. Please e-mail us to let us know which platforms and devices you'd like us to consider. In the meantime members can still access all the articles from the website once logged in.
8. Do I need a wireless or 3G connection to read content from the Apps once I've downloaded them?
No. Once the edition is downloaded you will have full access to all the articles and additional interactive features. Any links to webpages, the daily tax news and Twitter updates will require a wireless or 3G connection.
9. How long does the App take to download?
Download times vary depending on the speed of your Internet connection. Downloading the App to iTunes on your computer, then synching with your iPad is usually the fastest way to download.
