This annual conference is the flagship conference in the financial services taxation calendar and attracts practitioners and in-house tax advisers from across Australia to discuss current issues within the financial services area.

The 2012 conference will again take place at the Hyatt Regency in Coolum, situated on the Sunshine Coast. As always, a social program, together with a first class venue, will accompany the technical components of this conference.

The conference will continue to offer the successful combination of plenary and concurrent breakout sessions along with optional technical sessions and workshops on Wednesday afternoon allowing you to tailor the program to suit your interests. The technical program will be delivered by leaders in the fields and as always there will be plenty of opportunities to network with both colleagues and peers.

Highlights include:

  • Justice Tony Pagone, FTIA, discussing Part IVA - where is it going?
  • David Bloom, QC, FTIA, on tax litigation
  • Judy Morris, ATOand Ronen, Vexler, PwC presenting on the reportable Tax Positions schedule
  • Presentations and workshops covering current issues
  • Plenty of networking opportunities.
